Understanding Learning Disorders with Dr. Priscilla Morrison

Members-only preview

Although parents and educators may have an understanding of a child’s academic strengths and areas of difficulty, when should you be concerned about the child having a learning disorder? How can you differentiate between a formal diagnosis and relative weaknesses? This workshop is for individuals who want to understand the different types of learning disorders. Information will be provided on diagnostic criteria and examples of how a child or adolescent’s learning differences may present. In addition, tips will be provided for identifying academic difficulties. Finally, recommendations for intervention and academic support will be discussed. This workshop is designed for parents, educators, and other school staff who are interested in having a better understanding of learning disorders in children and adolescents.
