UPDATE About the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of Tuesday, March 10th, 2020, an Email  Has Been Sent to ALL Attendees Regarding the Cancelation of the NJCEC 2020 Spring Conference due to the Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)

While there are no confirmed cases at Ramapo College, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that the New Jersey Council For Exceptional Children’s Conference for March 16, 2020, has been CANCELLED due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in our state. 

This was not an easy decision as there was much deliberation, consideration and consultation in deciding. Most important was conferring with the CDC website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/index…

While it is impossible to know what will transpire with respect to the virus in the coming weeks, we felt that the responsible and the ethical thing to do is to cancel at this time. We also could not guarantee that participants, presenters, vendors, and volunteers would remain committed to coming and or if Ramapo College would still be able to host us.

This year's conference was sold out, making it an even more difficult decision as we know our attendees have come to depend upon and look forward to the information that is shared each year by our presenters. The conference committee and I are committed to developing additional venues and or opportunities to share this information. 

Please note that we will be processing your refunds and/or canceling your PO's. Please be patient with us as this will take some time.

Additionally, we will hold a Ceremony for our High School Student Scholarship recipients at an appropriate time, in the near future.

I'd like to thank everyone who supported this conference including Ramapo College who was hosting us!!
